Prior to co-founding Elm Creek Partners, Aaron spent over five years with Red River Ventures executing a similar investment strategy and serving as a director for several of its portfolio companies. Previously, Aaron was a part of the business development group at ServiceLane.com and spent three years with the Corporate Finance Department of Southwest Securities (NYSE: SWS). Aaron serves or previously served on a number of community boards and steering committees, including Boy Scouts of America’s Troop 70, Congregation Shaare Tefilla, the Foundation for the Dallas Home for the Jewish Aged, and Chabad of Dallas. He currently holds board positions related to the management of Elm Creek Partners. Aaron is married with three children and is a graduate of both Boston University and TCU.
Prior to co-founding Elm Creek Partners, Zach spent four years with Red River Ventures executing a similar investment strategy. Before graduate school, he managed the development and deployment of securities trading platforms for Investec, an international specialist banking group. Zach has private equity experience managing portfolio companies in the following industries: avionics, community banking, urgent care, in-home respiratory therapy and DME, wholesale optical labs, magazines publishing, retailing, wholesale furniture, wholesale seafood, and refinery construction and maintenance services. He currently serves as a trustee of The Episcopal School of Dallas and the chair-elect of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity. Zach is married with three children and earned an MBA from SMU and a degree in accounting from Washington & Lee University. He and his wife actively support the Church of the Incarnation and Community Partners of Dallas.
Prior to joining Elm Creek Partners in September, 2014, David served as the CEO of a start-up company in Austin, TX. He previously worked in the pet food division at Del Monte Foods in San Francisco, CA where he focused on brand strategy and new product development. David began his career as an Investment Banking analyst in JP Morgan’s Syndicated Leveraged Finance group in Houston, TX. He is an active volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dallas and is an avid cook, runner, and college football fan. David earned his MBA at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and a degree in economics from Rice University.
Prior to joining Elm Creek Partners as office manager/administrative assistant, Maria taught high school Government and Advanced Placement Government in Richardson and Plano for over 20 years. In addition to teaching, Maria served on various committees within public education and as a sponsor to various student organizations. Maria earned a degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University.
